Who this is for: Anyone interested in taking a series of courses to obtain a certificate on building science and building performance analysis.
Takeaway: To get the certificate, you must successfully complete all of the individual courses in the BPA Certificate Program. It’s FREE, available online, on-demand, self-paced, and pre-approved for USGBC CEUs and AIA LUs. More information here.
As mentioned in a previous blog post, Autodesk launched the Building Performance Analysis Certificate in 2013. We have recently updated the program and made some changes to the content, much of which has been based on user feedback.
What’s the same? The BPA Certificate Program is still a free, online program for architecture and engineering students, educators and professionals, who want to learn more about building science fundamentals and software tools for designing high-performance buildings.
What’s new? – We’ve created new software exercises using the latest Revit-based workflows (including daylighting analysis) and we’ve also integrated the course more with the design strategies presented in Architecture 2030’s Palette 2030. The certificate is also pre-approved for USGBC and AIA CEUs.
Those who have already received a BPA Certificate may be interested in taking a look at the new content, but it’s not necessary to re-take the course. To register for BPA Certificate Program, please go here.
If you’d like to hear about the successes some students have had since participating in the BPA Certificate Program, take a look here.
