If you get the Moldflow material data by material testing or data-fitting services from Autodesk Simulation Moldflow Insight Plastics Labs or material supplier, the extension of the file name should be udb. (21000.udb is for Thermoset material or 20030.udb is for Thermoset material)
You just put the udb files to udb folder under the default project folder (ie: C:\Users\<USER_NAME>\Documents\My ASMI 2013 Projects\udb). After that you can seek and use the material in the Moldflow.
This time, I would like to talk about how to share the material data with other team member. You can put udb files on mapped network drive and can access them from other PC. If you use several license of Moldflow, this is very useful.
Please follow following steps on Windows.
1. Setup shared network folder on a pc which you intend to put udb files.
2. Map a network drive to the shared network folder on client.
3. Create folder for udb files under mapped network drive and put udb files to this folder.
4. Set Windows environment variable MFSYN_USER_UDB and set path to the udb file as Value on client. (You can use MPA_USER_UDB for Autodesk Simulation Moldflow Adviser)
ex:
MFSYN_USER_UDB Z:\moldflow\udb
(Don't use UNC path as Valie. ie: \\SERVERNAME\FOLDER1 )
