Using the AutoCAD Electrical app allows you to access your digital pipeline while on the go. You could be using the app while inspecting installations & checking them against as-built drawings or a routine milestone assessment of progress – mark-ups tools would come in handy when viewing your AutoCAD Electrical drawings.
The AutoCAD Electrical mobile app includes several mark-up tools that allow you to easily annotate your schematics drawings. The tools can be accessed via the drawing toolbar at the bottom on the screen. Tap on the mark-up button and select the tool of choice. There are 5 mark-up options available: text, cloud, marker, photo and arrow. Mark-up is as easily as tapping on the desired point on the drawing canvas thereafter.
In addition, we understand that design data present on the AutoCAD Electrical drawings are invaluable and should not be modified without permission. In order to protect your drawings against accidental edits on the AutoCAD Electrical app, only mark-up tools are enabled when you open a drawing. To assess other draw tools such as line, rectangle, cycle and others, please tap the 'Enable Editting' button on the top left corner to unlock them.
You can freely edit and mark-up the drawing files uploaded to Autodesk 360. For other online web storages such as Dropbox, Box and Egynite, you will need to be a Pro account holder to enable the editing feature. Did you know that if you upgrade your account in AutoCAD 360, all those Pro features will be available on the AutoCAD Electrical app as well? There are several Pro plans available to choose from.
For collaborative discussions, design feed can be an immensely useful tool. Design feed is enabled for all drawings uploaded to Autodesk 360. It allows you to collaborate with other fellow teammates who have access to the same drawing. You may use the design feed tools to mark a rectangular area or a point on the drawing to make notes, tag specific collaborators with each comment and even attach photos. Design feed allows for instant collaboration among users that have access to the same drawing, be in on another mobile device, web or desktop product. The design feed tab is located on the top right corner of the app, open the tap to view design feed and its tools.
