A question posted about using Circuit Builder made me realize I could have done a better job explaining the process of selecting and inserting the circuit elements on the Circuit Configuration dialog.
Selecting: When inserting a circuit, you can use the default option for each element or you can select from the available options. The "?" in front of an element indicates that you have not selected an option for that element. If you insert that element without selecting an option, the default option is inserted.
Inserting: You need to insert the circuit elements using the available "Insert" buttons.
|
|
Insert the selected circuit element |
|
|
Insert all circuit elements up to and including the selected one |
|
|
Insert all the circuit elements |
Some circuit elements insert another template, adding another level of circuit elements. So you may need to insert more circuit elements even after you have selected to Insert All.
Done: The Done button does not cause Circuit Builder to insert anything. If you see this alert when you select "Done"–
this means that you have not inserted all the circuit elements. If you select "Yes", then the marker blocks for those elements are deleted and nothing is inserted for that circuit element. If you want to insert the remaining circuit elements, select "No" and continue inserting using the insertion buttons.

Pat, I found this very useful, Thanks.
Also, I am looking for information on where to find updated or additional products to use in ACE, any ideas? I need soft starts and VFD's primarily from Allen Bradley.

John, I'm glad you found this posting useful.
I do not deal with the library symbols/content for ACE though. That is what you are talking about, right? Did you try the discussion group for ACE, http://forums.autodesk.com/t5/AutoCAD-Electrical/bd-p/38. I have seen posts where people share content like this.
Sorry I couldn't be more helpful.

Excellent way of telling, and fastidious article to get facts on the topic of my presentation focus, which i am going to deliver in academy.
