G'day! Welcome to 'BeyondTheBox', the official blog of the Autodesk Consulting team in Australia and New Zealand (ANZ). We hope to share the knowledge, experiences and best practices that come from implementing solutions based on Autodesk technology to enable your business.
Why 'Beyond The Box'? Simple really: As technology becomes increasingly more powerful, complex, affordable, and commoditized, it becomes increasingly more important to focus on the workflows surrounding the technology, ultimately enabling your business. Having the right tools for the job remains essential. After all, a hammer is next to useless when what's really needed is a screwdriver. But when your competition has the same tools, what's 'in the box' becomes less important, and instead what you're able to do 'beyond the box' becomes a key differentiator. And this is where the Consulting team from Autodesk can assist.
From technology adoption to implementation, customisation to integration, workflows to programming, methodologies to testing, products to suites, and all things "Cloud" we'll endeavour to cover a diverse range of topics with the common theme of bringing you real-world, first-hand experiences in bite sized chunks. The posts on this blog will be contributed by individual members of the ANZ Consulting team, with each bringing to bear their expertise and personal observations. The strong technical skills and industry experience has seen several members of the team presenting at Autodesk University as well as various Industry Groups, so I'm confident you find their posts both relevent and interesting. You can read some more about the team here.
If you'd like to know more about individual products, I'd encourage you to read some of the existing Autodesk blogs which give great coverage on the features/functions provided. After all, you want to make sure you're maximising what's provided in the box. However, if you'd like to learn more about leveraging these products within your enterprise ecosystem to deliver the business outcomes, then this could well be the blog for you. We hope you enjoy the journey…
