Service Pack 1
Last week we released the first service pack for the Autodesk Simulation Moldflow 2015 products. The primary purpose of this service pack is to address issues caused by the Heartbleed bug. That said there are other small changes we made, all of which can be reviewed in the release notes of the service pack here.
You can get the service pack in several places, such as the Subscription Center. One of the best ways to access the service pack is to actually utilize new functionality via the Autodesk Application Manager. This tool will allow constant access to updates such as service packs or hotfixes, and makes downloading and installing simple and easy.
Autodesk Application Manager
The Autodesk Application Manager is a new tool that provides direct access for your computer to our software, via its own user interface. From here you can check for updates, learn more about how the application manager works, or review relevant tutorials.
One of the great things about the Application Manager is it only checks for content relevant to you as a user. So if you have simulation tools installed, that's what it checks for and notifies you of, nothing else. And then from there you can choose the relevant service packs and get feedback as to what the service pack or hotfix addresses.
You can also see current updates you don't have, updates that have recently come out, and access a download directly from the Application Manager itself. Even better, the download will automatically initiate the installation process.
All of this makes for a seamless and easy means of not only staying up to date on when new versions are available, but exactly what they address and allowing you to upgrade as quickly and efficiently as possible. The Application Manager needs to be selected during the installation of 2015 to be available.
